Privacy Statement
1. Personal Information We Collect
-
Information you actively provide: name, email address, affiliation, country/region, ORCID iD during registration; manuscript title, abstract, keywords, references during submission; review comments and scores submitted by reviewers.
-
Information automatically recorded (OJS core): IP address, access time, browser type, page clickstream logs.
2. Use and Sharing of Information
-
We use your information for the peer review process, editorial decision‑making, typesetting and publication, and academic misconduct detection (e.g., plagiarism checking).
-
We transmit article metadata (which does not include reviewer identities or contact information) to academic indexing databases such as Crossref, Scopus, and Web of Science.
-
We solemnly undertake that we will never sell your personal information to any third‑party advertisers, commercial entities, or use it for marketing promotion.
3. Cross‑border Data Transfer
Our journal's lead institution is located in Belarus, and the cloud servers we use may be located in [the United States, Hong Kong, or Singapore]. Your personal data will be transferred across borders between Belarus and the aforementioned server locations. We employ SSL/TLS encryption (HTTPS) to ensure the security of the entire transmission process and ensure that all cooperating service providers have signed data protection agreements.
4. Data Retention Period
-
Published manuscripts: author and reviewer metadata and full texts are archived permanently (based on the obligation to preserve academic archives).
-
Unaccepted (rejected) manuscripts: anonymized deletion or complete destruction within 2 years after the review process ends.
-
System access logs (including IP): retained on a rolling basis for 6 months, after which they are automatically overwritten.
5. Your Rights
You have the right to access and correct your personal data held by us, and to request deletion of your personal information (note that metadata of published articles cannot be deleted or corrected due to the permanent nature of academic archives; for rejected manuscripts, we may process deletion requests earlier upon request).
Requests to withdraw consent (e.g., to refuse promotional emails) will be processed within 15 working days.
6. Data Security Measures
We use HTTPS encrypted transmission, restrict back‑end access to core members of the editorial team, and change system administrative passwords regularly.
